If you don't have the 'back to school' feeling!

Over the past few weeks, I've had so many 'back to school'-type communications reminding me to start anew in my fitness, my business, my relationships, my finances, my eating habits..phew! Overwhelmed? Just a little!

While I know that for many people, September heralds that fresh-start feeling, I am reminded that navigating change feels different for us all and there is no right way, no easily marketable solution.

We all walk a unique path, and while key times in the year can be helpful as markers along that path, they can also cause a feeling of pressure or being left behind. And truly, we can never do life like anyone else. It’s wonderful to be inspired by others, but how often does that flip into comparison, a sense of failure and dissatisfaction? And when we are always looking outwards, we forget to look to our own inner wisdom, our own navigation system, which can hold so much richness.

So as we shift into autumn, maybe you do have your sleeves firmly rolled up and ready for the next chapter - wonderful! Enjoy that burst of inspiration fully! But if perhaps chill in the air is creating a longing to ponder and reflect before taking active steps, could you trust that? Or if you need some time to recover after the high energy of the summer, can you allow yourself some of that, knowing that it is more likely that your next actions will bear fruit if you do.

How our life unfolds can never follow a one-size-fits-all planner. We are spinning a unique tapestry influenced by the planets and stars as well as our history and our social circumstances. We are magical and miraculous beings, flowing and growing as best we can.

I think if we take a step back and try to expand our lens to really see that, really know that, then it takes off the pressure to perform and maybe that gives space for more permission to live.
